GeoSmart partners with Centremaps to offer unique range of environmental reports and data to support sustainable development

GeoSmart Information, the innovative environmental reports, data and services provider, has teamed up with Centremaps, to provide flooding and drainage data on its geospatial portal.

The portal, called CentremapsLive, offers architects and planning consultants Ordnance Survey MasterMap extracts, aerial imagery, historic maps and environmental reports.

Centremaps have now enhanced the depth of site analysis on the platform by adding GeoSmart’s full range of reports, including:

  • EnviroSmart – Phase 1 contaminated land risk assessments, with site walkover and geotechnical assessment options
  • FloodSmart – Comprehensive flood risk assessment reports, including the latest groundwater flood risk data
  • SuDSmart – Site infiltration suitability for Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), plus options for outline SuDS design and run off calculations.

Architects and planning consultants can also integrate OS MasterMap extracts with unique GeoSmart data layers to understand groundwater flood risk and the potential for drainage infiltration, a key part of SuDS.

“Expanding the breadth of our environmental report and data options is essential for our clients preparing planning application, working on development plans or needing to comply with environmental planning conditions “says Steve Maslin, National Business Development Manager at Centremaps “GeoSmart offers our clients peace of mind knowing they can access high level consultancy data and high quality customer support in just a few clicks.”

“We are delighted to be working with CentremapsLive to provide their clients with a an innovative range of reports and data to help with site redevelopment” says Chris Taylor, Commercial Director at GeoSmart “Climate change is challenging planning teams to scrutinise development schemes more thoroughly and recognising site specific environmental risks early improves project efficiency and helps towards sustainable development. “
