GeoSmart is seeking a candidate with excellent communication and organisational skills to assist with the daily running of our dynamic environmental information business. Ambitious candidates will have the opportunity to support the growth in sales of our reports and data, undertaking sales administration tasks and proactively managing sales enquiries from the web site and generated through marketing campaigns. This role supports a busy consultancy team in the production of environmental reports to ensure an effective and efficient operation. On offer is an exciting opportunity to help drive the rapid growth of Geosmart, a new and innovative environmental company. Our flood risk, drainage and contaminated land reports, support planning applications and sustainable development.

The ideal candidate will have experience of a busy professional office environment and be capable of providing excellent support to our team, with a commitment to deliver work of the highest standard to demanding deadlines. Role competencies and experience:

  • Good administration and organisation skills.
  • Sales management experience in a business to business sales environment
  • Ability to coordinate own time.
  • Strong communicator with an excellent telephone manner and sound written skills.
  • Willingness to deal with client enquiries over the telephone and via email and undertake regular discussion with potential customers.
  • Enthusiastic and willing, with a strong team player attitude.
Responsibilities and duties:

  • Provide proactive sales administration to the GeoSmart team, to include following up marketing campaigns to chosen market sectors, supporting the launch of new products to target markets;
  • Dealing with client queries by developing a technical knowledge of our products and services;
  • Chasing proposals and managing the opportunity tracking database;
  • Ad hoc tasks to support management and the consultant team;
  • Manage relationships with existing key clients and resellers of our environmental data and reports;
  • Opportunities to work with our consultancy team to develop technical knowledge;
  • Support our digital marketing strategy and production of sales and marketing collateral.
