Our Groundwater Flood Risk Map was included in a Landmark Commercial Data Report and identified our client’s site as being at ‘Moderate Risk’ of groundwater flooding.

Since our client was proposing to develop a number of residential properties on the site, the FloodSmart GW Report was recommended in order to better understand the nature of the risk posed. The report was delivered to the client’s email inbox within 24 hours of the order being placed.

The report provided details of the likely cause of flooding (including both the superficial and bedrock geology) and predicted groundwater levels upon which the risk rating was based. The client was therefore better informed about whether any further action would be required and what mitigation measures would be most suitable.

The client was assured that although the site was at moderate risk of groundwater flooding, the risk to the site could be reduced through incorporating simple mitigation measures into the design of the development.
